Trip Planner:

The following entry represents events that are planned already, (denoted by a date,) as well as trips that we hope to make (really just a rough draft of what’s on our horizon.) It does not include day or overnight trips, such as the Bamboo Sea, the Wenshu Temple, Dufu’s Thatched Cottage, the Sichuan Opera or snow skiing in the Sichuan Province. Those types of events do not need pre-plan posting or advance notice. Although, like any trip we take, they will be reported on as they happen. Oh, and undoubtedly we will be making two return trips to the U.S., one in 2008 and one in 2009. Most travel will depend on Harley’s new vacation schedule and a few of the big trips may push to the summertime. Also, we reserve the right to visit any single place more than once! :)

Lisa: NE-HOW !! I AM able to pull your other info from the Blogs(?)
What a GREAT itinary, anxious to follow your travels.
Glad you will see the Oprah near you.
Are you feeling any aftershocks from the Big quake, prior your arrival there?
We can get a TV Channel (CCTV) which has only news in china. For example, Sun nite we learned about the milk & how many babies it affected. We didn't hear it on US tv until Mon. What's great about the channel though is that they will cover an area, in China, so we can see the countryside. Sun nite was Mongolia.
Then they covered the "Mogao Gtottos" in Gianza Provience...Mosiac Muros in caves, carved in the desert centuries (1600) ago. Due to natural eroision and neglect, they almost lost them.BUT now they have speciallist who are repainting over the orginal using the ORGINAL types of paints. ie: plants, ground rock, etc. Copies of all are in the Large Visitors Center on site. I hope you can see it, let me know.
It is HUGH. They started redoing it in 2000 and expect to be done in 60 years It is a Gallery of Buddist Art.
Well now I hope I can figure out how to SEND this letter to you.
Love, mom
